Sportfriends Soccer Academy

What is the Sportfriends Soccer Academy?

The Sportfriends Soccer Academy program seeks to promote athletic involvement, fundamental skill development, and healthy lifestyle habits to children in order to prepare them for the club level experience.

Players will learn and strengthen the fundamental skills of soccer through structured activities, fun and engaging games, and scrimmages, in order to learn the basics and develop an understanding of the game while having fun in a safe and structured environment. Players will train twice weekly and will play a simulated ‘season’, competing in a number of 4v4 games held on weekends against both in-house teams and visiting programs.

There is no prior experience required in order to enroll in our academy program and the main focus is to help instill a life long passion for physical activity and a love of the game that will eventually lead to competitive participation. Academy sessions aim to create positive environments for all children while providing opportunities for skill development with the ultimate goal of moving toward competitive levels.

Players: Ages 3-8

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays Afternoons

Dates: The week of September 10th through the week of November 12th

Times: Weekdays 5 PM to 6 PM

Black River x Sportfriends Fall Pre-Club Clinic

What is the Pre Club Clinic?

The Black River Pre Club program seeks to promote fundamental skill development in the game of soccer, preparing young players to elevate into club level play. Whether it is your child’s first soccer experience with competitive soccer or a way to build upon the foundation set through years of training, our players come through the program better than when they arrive. Our licensed and certified coaches help your child develop their competency on the ball with a focus on ball mastery, passing, technical and tactical development, all while fostering a love for the game.

While there is no prior experience required in order to enroll in our Pre Club program and the main focus is to help prepare players that will eventually lead to a competitive level of participation. Sessions aim to create positive environments for all children while providing opportunities for skill development with the ultimate goal of moving toward competitive levels.
